The NBA Draft Lottery is one of the strangest events in sports - every June, fans of the worst teams in the NBA cross their fingers and tune in to watch a ping-pong ball lottery machine decide their team’s fate.

The Lottery in 2018 was a particularly important one, with the New York Knicks securing a 14.5% chance of drafting the best prospect since Lebron James, Duke star Zion Williamson.

To help make this night even more fun, we had Budweiser create custom Draught Lottery Machines, taps that gave NBA fans a 14.5% chance of getting a free beer, and installed them in sports bars across NYC for Knicks fans.

While the Knicks (yet again) didn’t win the Draft Lottery, fans were able to meet Knicks legends like Earl Monroe and Rod Strickland, and at least got to win the Draught Lottery on that fated night.
